Al-Amal Arabic School was established in Manchester in 2017. We incorporate Arabic culture through teaching the modern Arabic language. Our goal is to re-affirm the identity of the Arab speaking community in the UK, and introduce non-Arabic speaking communities to the culture of the Arab world.

Our volunteer staff follow a compulsory twelve weeks training with professional supervisors, on class management, children safeguarding, health and safety for children, first aid and computer skills, followed by assessment.

In 2018, we achieved the Rights Respecting School Bronze Award from UNICEF, and following this, we felt it was fitting to champion children’s rights by nominating a student ambassador to represent the students, allowing the students to voice their opinions on school matters. In the same year, we achieved the Foundation Level Award from Manchester City Council.
